Ameriabank signed USD 20 million senior debt facility agreement with DEG. The signing ceremony took place on April 12 in London within the scope of EBRD annual meeting. This long-term facility will be dedicated to financing of Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Armenia.

On behalf of Ameriabank the agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Management Board – CEO Artak Hanesyan. DEG was represented by Rena Terfrüchte, Director, Financial Institutions Europe/Asia, and Juliane Loch‎, Senior Investment Manager, Financial Institutions Europe/Asia.

Ameriabank’s cooperation with DEG dates back to 2009, when the bank signed a joint agreement with DEG and Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO) which evolved into a strategic partnership after signing of USD 20 million loan agreement in November 2012. This partnership goes in line with the Bank’s strategy to prioritize lending to small and midsized business as one of the main focal points of the Bank’s credit policy.
